Teknonot has provided Lotus Notes/Domino development and administration services to corporate customers for more than 15 years. We take on the whole cycle — from analysing an application through building, deploying and running it day to day — and hold a high standard of delivery throughout.
Our main focus today is transformation: moving applications that run on Notes/Domino into modern development environments that are more secure, easier to support and easier to integrate. We do this while preserving the integrity of your history — existing records move across together with a data model designed to hold them.
Because we work in regulated sectors such as banking and pharmaceuticals, our processes are built around business continuity, data retention and auditability requirements.

Our key focus area
Domino transformation is not rewriting a working application from scratch. It means understanding the existing business rules, forms, views and years of accumulated data, then rebuilding them on a modern architecture that matches them exactly. We run it in four stages.
We establish which applications are genuinely in use and which can be retired. Databases, forms, views, agents, the authorisation structure and external dependencies are all recorded. The output is a prioritised transformation roadmap.
We design the move from a document-based structure to a relational model. A corresponding schema is built on MS SQL Server for historical Notes data, and screens and business rules are redefined for the target architecture.
The application is rebuilt using Microsoft software technologies. Migration runs repeatably: every run verifies record counts and field mappings, and reports any differences.
A parallel-running period lowers cutover risk. Once users are live, we stay on for application support and system administration.
An application running on a current technology stack, reachable from web and desktop and able to connect to your corporate authentication — plus a relational data layer where all of your history remains queryable.
